From the recordings Life, Love, and Philosophy and Alone With You
I wrote this song for my wife over 20 years ago, and this is the inspiration for this album. We went out for dinner on a blind date. The next day we went to a movie and had drinks afterward. I was leaving on a business trip and as I drove through the rain that night to my hotel, we talked on the phone. You can hear a lot of this in the song, as well as that sense of anticipation that comes from new Romantic Love. Another important topic in Objectivism. Read “The Romantic Manifesto” for more about the topic of Romanticism; What it is and what it isn’t.
